Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Literature (1993) and PhD in English Philology (1998) by the Universidad de Alcalá. He has five six-year teaching terms and three six-year research terms. He has been Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara (1996, 1999 y 2014) and at the University of Limerick (2003). He has directed or has been responsible for eleven projects or research grants. He coordinates the UAH High Performance Research Group “American Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies (AMICUSS)”. He is a member of the UAH Teaching Innovation Group “Areté 2030: Sustainable Development Goals and Teaching Innovation in Humanities”. He has edited books and published articles in renowned national and international journals, and he has written chapters of books on Literature, Culture and US Politics. He has been Director (2013-2019), Deputy Director (2003-2011) and Academic Secretary (2011-2013) at Instituto Franklin-UAH. He has been treasurer of the American Studies Network (2013-2021). His research areas are Culture and Political Organization of the United States.
