Biography

Antía Rivera de la Vega is a PhD candidate at the Interuniversity Doctoral Programme in Advanced English Studies at University of A Coruña, University of Santiago de Compostela and University of Vigo. Her research interests revolve around Migration and Border Literature, transculturalism and translanguaging, Latinx and Chicanx Studies. Her dissertation is a project that studies the intersections of identity, language, space, and gender issues in twenty-first-century Migration and Border Literature written in English, with a particular interest on the U.S.-Mexican border conflict. Antía is a member of the research group Irish Studies “Amergin”  and has actively participated in and organized specialized conferences. Among her publications are book chapters in España y Norteamérica en el corredor transatlántico (2023), Spatial Absences in Contemporary Fiction (2023), and the translation of Global Passport (2024).
